Here is the situation:
I have a machine that is running Windows XP Home edition. I have another
machine that is running Win 89. The WinXP machine was configured to access
the internet VIA DSL through an ethernet connection to a DSL modem. All had
been working fine until I made some changes over Christmas.
I added another ethernet card and connected the WIN98 machine to the XP
machine thru a switch/hub. I then enabled ICS on the WinXP machine. Now,
the internet is able to be accessed just fine for most things by both
machines. FTP is not one of those things. I cannot access an FTP site thru
any program that I try unless I shutdown ICS.
There must be a way that I can configure this ICS so that it will not
interfere with the connections. If the request is made to access then I
don't want ICS to block it. That is what the firewall software is for.
PS. The firewall is not the problem. I unload it and still can't access
until I bring ICS down.
