"frozen window"

Hi,

I have an excel workbook (file) that functions normally
in all respects, except that the file window is locked or
frozen at one size. The window cannot be resized, nor
does it have min, max or close buttons. The main excel
window functions normally.

What can I do to get a "normal" window back?

The one time I have seen this was in an Office XP
setting, running on a corporate W2000 system. Apparently,
the Office XP way of emailing Excel files is to retrieve
the data and embed it into an Outlook file. The only way
to restore the normal Excel behavior is to transfer the
data into a (new) Excel file.
