I am using windows XP and can not find Frontpage Express
anywhere. Is there a way that I can download it? I tried
downloading Internet Explorer 6 and it stated that I
already had that version. Thanks for your help.. Mike

FrontPage Express is not included with IE or XP. You can
find it for download from several on-line sources. If you
have a previous Windows version CD, you can probably find
it. You formerly could find it for download on MS web site,
but don't know if it is still there.
Try a Google search [this is one link found there

What's the status of the FrontPage Express program then? Orphanware? I
was going to use it for some HTML editor compatibility testing, but it
looks like Microsoft has punted it completely.

Okay, I admit that I quit using it years ago, but it wasn't that bad.
I thought MS was maintaining it as an entry-level program, and that it
was actually off of the same code base as the full product (unlike
Outlook and Outlook Express)...

I think it was a "teaser" program to get people into making web pages
with a "freebie" tool. It's dead, or "orphaware" as you suggest.

I am not privy to Microsoft's strategy, but clearly they want FrontPage
Express users to move to FrontPage. So would I if I owned both products.

If you want a good HTML editor program, try the program that comes with
Mozilla browser (free). Pretty good. There are also lots of other free
HTML editors out there.
