Hi
I installed IIS on my WindowsXP
and i put my database and websites in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot
when I try to view my website on frontpage (by pressing F12), it shows
up below msg:
"The Database Results component on this page is unable to display
database content. The page must have a filename ending in '.asp', and
the web must be hosted on a server that supports Active Server Pages."

How do I remove this msg, and open my website

Please help me

Are the files named .asp? You need to open the web and Publish it to
http://localhost/webname so that you can view ASP files locally. The files
must be published and vied from a web server. Just copying them to the
intepub folder won't do it.

Is "abc" a subweb / subsite ? You web host must allow you to create these before you can use them.

The poster is talking about a local site, not on a web server.

is nsnw01 the name of your PC? You should use "localhost" which is the
generic name for your local server. Try File, Open Site, http://localhost
Then you should see a listing of all files and sub webs (sub sites) if you
created any. Sub webs are the ones with the little globe icon on the folder.
Double-click to open it.

Ok, so the OP may need to create "abc" as a subweb / subsite under localhost prior to trying to
publish to it.
