Any kind of account, including a dummy account. I think the idea is that
there's no reason to take up the screen space if there's no choice about
what's going to be in the field.
Hmm. I've done what you suggested, Frank, but I'm still limited to the
accounts I've set up, i.e. the From: field only provides a drop down list of
the accounts. Seems a bit silly - unless I'm unique in using several
aliases so I can control e-mail better
Did you create an account for each of your desired "aliases" that you wish
to use? And you may experience sending problems since many ISPs will not
allow you to "relay" mail, i.e., send mail using an account other than the
one that exists with the ISP providing connection.
