Fresh WinXP install

I recently had to delete WinXPSP2 home from my computer. When trying to
install everything goes fine until it starts installing the network
components and the program halts and goes no further. Could this be my
ethernet? I think that it came installed with the mother board, not sure? I
have a new network card to use. Is there a way to disable the one installed
on the motherboard and use the new one? How can I check the motherboard
ethernet to see if it is functioning properly?

Hey ... What type of computer do you have ?? Do you have an motherboard cd
disc ?? Check this area out and see whether there is any problems , go to
the following >>> click start buttom >>> right click " My Computer " >>
select " Properties " >> Then click the Hardware tab >>>Then Devise Manager
.... Now you will see tree ( pulse sign ) to expand , expand each one and see
whether there is any errors , they will either be in red or yellow , If you
see any report back as to where they are ... Lastly are you familiar with
the bios setting ???
