Freezes after I try and aactivate.

I am working on a computer with Windows Home. It was locking up on start up
(It would lock up at the "Windows is starting" screen. I put in the Windows
CD (accidently the Pro edition) and went to the recovery mode. I just looked
through the directory and that was it (couldn't remember my DOS commands :)
). When I restarted the compuuter booted up to the log on screen (taking a
long time ~4-5 min). But after the "Windows is starting" screen a bocx
appears saying I need to activate windows. If I click 'no' it continues on to
the log on screen. If I click 'yes' it freezes. The same box appears at the
log in screen when I try and login. If I click 'no' it trys to log the user
off and freezes . If I click 'yes' it freezes.

What is going on?

There is also a two tone beep going on from just after the post.
This problem occured after the BIOS was upgraded, the power supply was
upgraded, and a new video card installed.
I rolled back the BIOS and put the old video card in.

Go to start/run, and type
regsvr32.exe regwizc.dll
OK, then,
regsvr32.exe licdll.dll

I can't get into windows to use 'run'. It freezes at the login screen.

Getting to the DOS prompt from the boot disk and typing what you said It
says that 'the command is not recognized'.

I managed to do this but it still 'hangs' when I click 'OK'. Hanging being
that when I click 'ok' the box disappears and then it just sits there but the
cursor is still movable.
