so I can provide other people with a link to view them?

www.webshots.com is free storage for a limited number of photos in a
limited number of categories .. altogether they will certainly hold
100 photos. I use this service and pay a very tiny extra premium to get
a huge increase in storage space.

This is exactly what I offer with my website (see the link in my signature
line) but the images have to be related to amateur astronomy. I can do
this because of the narrow focus (pardon the pun) of my website.
Additionally, all images come to me as email attachments. It would seem to
me that there would be a potential for BIG problems if I let people upload
directly. Good luck in your search. As for the number you mention -- 100
-- I can't imagine that being offered anywhere for free, but I could be
wrong.

You may want to check foldershare, now a MicroSoft product,
but free. (for now ??)

You can use a combination of Hello, Picassa and Blogger.com. All free.
That's what I sometimes do.
