Free HTML editor

Looking for a free html editor without nag screens, expiration, etc.
I don't want a WYSIWYG editor.
I've looked at several but haven't found one I like yet.

Hi

Would be helpful if you listed the ones you have looked at and why you
didn't like them. That would make recommending one easier and save
duplication.

The ones I have looked at have the above listed reasons I don't like
them.
I don't want nag screens, expiration, and WYSIWYG.

TSW WebCoder. Lots of functionality. Free for private use, but requires
registration. My personal #1 choice for HTML, CSS and PHP coding.
http://www.tsware.net/

SciTE. Open source. General purpose programmers text editor with syntax
highlighting for a lot of languages, including the ones mentioned above. Low
system requirements, and (being open source) runs on a lot of platforms.

I couldn't agree more about TSW Webcoder, but my impression is
that the next version will cost some money.

Click on the download button for screenshots.

Thanks. Strange place to put the screenshots but there are plenty of
them and they tell me exactly what I wanted to know. Am downloading
right now.

I've only been using it a couple of days now and so far like it.

Another alternative, except for anyone not happy to run Sun Java, is
Arachnophilia

http://www.arachnoid.com/arachnophilia/index.html

http://www.arachnoid.com/arachnophilia/index_old.html
Version 4.0 does not require Java

Arachnophilia is highly configurable, with the ability, even at the
most basic level, to add macro commands which will insert boilerplate
text, or place something (usually tags) around selected text

Where does it say this pay program is free for personal use? Other than a
trial period of a few days?

Their ethics are a short summary of police ordinances: for them the
most important thing is to be a useful member of the state, and to air
their opinions in the club of an evening; they have never felt the
homesickness for something unknown and far away, nor the depths which
consists in being nothing at all. ___________Soren Kierkegaard
