FP Server Extn Admin port not found on IIS

B

Bob

Background - I had some serious IIS and FP interface problems. I
removed IIS and re-installed it. I was able to right click on the
default web site and "Configure Server Extensions". That worked and
the extensions are installed.

However, when I right click and choose "Upgrade Server Extensions
2002" I get a message "Server Extensions Administration port not
found".

Ideas?

Thanks (yes, I have tried the IIS group... nothing so far so I thought
I'd see is someone here had some info).

If you have configured the FP2000 extensions, there is not need to upgrade, unless you have
installed the FP2002 extensions. However Windows 2003 Server comes with the FP2002 extensions.

This server did have the 2002 extensions but it was so fouled up that
I had to remove IIS & reinstall to fix it. I have a feeling the 2002
extensions are half installed... I would like to fix this "port" error
so I can be confident everything is in sync.
However Windows 2003 Server comes with the FP2002 extensions.

I have 2003, but I don't have the time to spend installing and
configuring it. Since I don't use any of the 2003 features on this
server, I am avoiding the rebuild until forced into it.

Thanks,

If you are running Windows 2000 server, then re-installing IIS and the FP2000 extensions from the
CD, then once you are sure everything is working, then you can upgrade to the FP2002 extensions.
