FP 2002

Hey gang,

I recently upgraded from Office XP (Students & Teachers) to Office 2003 Pro
(clean install). Unfortunately this action removed my standalone version of
FrontPage 2002 as well. Before I reinstall FP I was wondering if there are
any compatibility issues between the two.

Any advice is appreciated. TIA, Ken

Not much, if you use DRW keep a copy of your _fpclass
folder handy and replace 2003 _fpclass if needed. This I
believe was fixed in 2002 SP3...but you never know.

Thanks for the reply Bill. That's good news on the compatibility thing, but
not to sound too ignorant, what is an "_fpclass" folder? Forgive me; I'm
kind of new at this Office stuff and living by the axiom, "The dumbest
question is the one that doesn't get asked", I have to know! ;) TIA, Ken

If you never used the Database wizard don't worry about it

Also if you used themes there are some changes to how FP2003 stores handle themes
see http://sbrenjoy.bizland.com/frontpage/themes/newthemes.html

The first thing you should do is go to Tools Page Options Authoring to select what you will use in FP

The 1st time you publsih your site after any upgrade always use the Publish All option to synchronize your sites
