I didn't configure a proxy in foxhot? It does this itself! I unchecked it,
no differance. I think they use Foxhot proxi because that's how foxhot talks
to foxmail. Foxmail with pop doesn't use foxhot. But when foxmail is trying
to talk to hotmail it needs an interpreter so foxhot module is engaged as a
go between. The two programs talk to each other through local host..

i agree with you.
but proxy setting in foxhot.exe is intended when a HTTP proxy is use for
relaying foxhot http requests (i never use any http proxy and foxhot.exe
works always fine)...
if you don't use http proxy, don't check proxy server settings.

I have also tried to get FoxMail to work with Hotmail and its just doesn't
and I have no idea why! I can use OE with my Hotmail with no problems. When
I try to use Foxmail it just stops at the login screen and doesn't do
anything but sit there. After a while it all times out!

I eventually gave up and went back to OE!!!
