Hi all,

Being the GREEN consctious person that i am , i am trying to print out only
the first page of every email for filing purposes. Usually most emails have a
history that repeats itself , thus the need to print out just the latest
email ( without the history ..or thread ).

However , when the email is in the plain text format , the print function (
CTRL + P) , does not allow the fucntion to print just the 1st page , unlike
when it is in the HTML format.

Anybody has any advise on how to format all EXISTING received mail into the
HTML format ?

Do tell ...... and here's to saving paper and keeping this wonderful planet
of ours Green !

Ok, I don't have an answer, but...

If you want to save paper, why print them out *at all*?

I mean, if it's a legal thing, I'd wager that just the first page won't be
sufficient.
If it's just a filing thing... well.... go paperless.

Either work with an Exchange server's public folders and store the mail
there, or save them to the hard drive.

Hi there ,

Thanks for the reponse.

Well as much as i would like to ....the nature of my job requires a physical
file to be updated with the latest correpondences.Go figure ....

I've even got my administrator stumped !

Maybe this is something that Microsoft hasn't even thought of either !

Do i get any royalties if me idea is used ? hehe ! : )

Sounds like a time for a process update then.

I'd wager something could be done with a script to convert all messages to
HTML format. I'd bet http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=62 could be
converted to change all messages to html format. Or just buy
http://www.savvisoft.com/ which says it will do it.

Personally, if you're that concerned about saving paper, I'd push to have
processes changed. It's a different world and even some of the more
byzantine organizations are open to electronic filing nowadays.
