Formatting partition with win xp

When formatting and re installing win xp every week, activating win xp is not
needed? I only don't get updates?

WHY oh WHY are you re-formatting and re-installing EVERY WEEK?
 
I think they are trying to get around the WGA BS, quite a drastic measure if
you ask me, no updates, poor decision!
