I have bought a pc from pc world and they haven't given
me any driver disks. What happens if it goes horribly
wrong and I need to format? All I have is what I
installed myself. Should this be, or have I been had?

It depends on the PC manufacturer.
Some have a hidden partition where all the original installation is
restored.

Contact the manufacturer and check your invoice.
Do it quickly as there is usually a very limited time to make
adjustments for missing components.

They should have gave you a Reload CD to reload your PC
back to factory settings. Some PC vendors do charge your
extra for the Reload CD but PC World should had gave you
one as part of the PC package.
