Form load failed

Something has become corrupted.

My standard forms library has disappeared. If I try to open a standard form
a dialog box appears saying only "Form load failed". I can click on the OK
button, and the design form dialog opens, but no standard forms are shown.

Once the design form dialog box is open I can open other libraries like my
personal forms library and these seem to be OK, but trying to open the
standard forms library produces the error message again.

I can create new standard items (messages, tasks, appointments etc). I just
can't edit the forms.

I have tried the following:
- restart Outlook
- clear form cache
- rename Outcmd.dat file and restart Outlook
- reset menu bar
- reboot PC

I am using Outlook 2003 and exchange. Offline when I encountered the
problem, but have also tried connecting to Exchange and it makes no
difference.

Has anyone encountered the problem before and managed to find a solution??

Here's hoping

TIA

For anyone who has the same problem, this is how I resolved it. Something I
read on this forum prompted the idea that the forms cache might be corrupted.
The solution to that is to find the file "frmscache.dat" and rename / delete
it. Did that, and everything is back to normal.
