Assuming you have the blue user selection screen, try hitting Ctrl-Alt-Del-Del (that is, Ctrl+Alt+Del, release Del and hit again while continuing to hold Ctrl+Alt); this should get you to a 'standard' login box. Try the 'administrator' account with a blank password, and see if that helps. Also, if there is a username in the box when it first loads, try submitting it with a blank password before you try the administrator thing. Other than that, I would suggest possibly checking out this blurb and the website it mentions.

i have gotten my computer off someone else, and after
running a number of antiviruses/spyware thingies, upon
