Foreign Language Typing, Editing and Viewing

My in-laws need a computer that allows them to read and type in Japanese as
well as english. I think xp has these capabilities. My questions...

Is Pro any better than Home for foreign language uses?

Will I need to purchase any other software to type in Japanese, or is it
localized in XP?

Why don't you go and ask Japanese people. It is a stupid question for an english language group.

I think it is a good question but the answer was stupid. I am not smart
enough to give the answer either.
