Language Bar Problems - It thinks I'm Japanese

I have installed the WIndows XP language bar and added Japanese as a
language. It was working fine until recently. Now, when I switch the bar to
Japanese, all of menu labels are in Japanese (before they were in English,
which is what I want). It's as if the language bar is operating under a
Japanese version of XP. Is there any way I can fix this? I tried removing
Japanese, rebooting, then adding it back, but that doesn't seem to work.

try going into the control panel > regional and language options
try adjusting some settings in there(remove the Japanese); not very familiar
with this. if all else fails learn japanese : ) good luck
