OK, using Jane's md.exe. I checked the 3 files I had left on my PC.
I tested each then renamed it so I could just < up arrow> to reuse
command : 2 were good - one was bad.
Yet x86 dvd burns fine , but troubles with x64.
I'll try it again. Anyone got info on my other question ?
Subject: Multi boot x64 and x86 Beta 2 ?

MD5 output:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
C:\Documents and Settings\Bobb> cd c:\downloads

So my LAST download was good !

This was the original download ( that hung at 74%) = bad checksum

I have an answer for you that will allow you to triple boot (heck, quintuple
boot if you want to throw Linux and then Windows 3.1 in there), but it
requires a purchase of some software and a long explanation. If you are
interested, lets talk.

If any one knows if VistaBootPro will let Bobb manually rewrite his boot
file for a triple boot scenario, please let that person be heard!

Thanks Mark,

Let me rephrase to others:
For those that say " I'm using Vista x86 and x64", do you mean on
different PC's ? Or on same PC ?
If x86 on ther aplready, will x64 just add onto the x86 boot menu ?

- Bobb -

I downloaded my nth copy of X64 Beta and THIS time it not only passed
the hash test and burned successfully, and booted and the install
started ( as others did), BUT after I entered my info, I then went to a
dental appt and when I returned ( drum roll , please) X64 Beta 2 was at
a login prompt. Piece of cake , huh ?

So I have Xp Pro and X64 Pro and X86 Vista and ( FINALLY) X64 Vista and
all is well.
My boot menu appears as :
Previous OS ( XP boot.ini)
Windows (Vista X64)
Windows (Vista X86)

To everyone that's helped me out with this - thank you , thank you ,
thank you. I would have given up on my own. NOW I can go on vacation for
a few weeks (to Nova Scotia), and have this behind me.

Best Regards,
Bobb

Bobb:

That's what I said in my post. Nero's MD5 checker crashes on the Vista
x64 .iso. Use the one Jane recommended. Trust me on this. I went
through four downloads and 36 hours of stress about it.

Mark

Andre,
How do I use that ?
It search for .exe and .nrg files. If I choose " All Files" and
double-click the .iso file I get a runtime error

Thanks Jane: your MD5 app caught mistakes
that the other MD5 checker didn't.
