MD5 Message...

I just tried the MD5 check on my .iso files as suggested when i tyoed in
80070241 into the search above.. i downloaded as instructed, extracted, and
ran the CMD control, and after running the MD5 program, i get this error
message:

B0053573C82A7BD06959051F6748B767

And, well, it isn't the one that is stated on the site given to inform you
that there is an error in your .iso file. So im not sure whats going on...
There isn't a problem with the download apparently, but i still get an error
message at 39% stating 80070241. Ive turned off OneCare Live... well i think
that i have; ive shutdown spybot etc. And still, that dam error. The only
difference i found in when i shutdown both monitoring tools, was that the
install took longer to get to 39% compared to previous time.

Ive also tried installing a blank version of Vista, and installing over XP,
and ive restarted the computer, and booted through the disk, and still no
success. Any pointers? or should i buy a blank HD and install onto that?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is not an error message. It is an MD5 checksum. Unfortunately it does
not match the correct checksum for the 32bit version of Vista which is
0E733AB1A8E8FF9A8684FD3639332773

64bit Vista checksum should be E43502D0A15EADD551119D5639859E04

Woops...... yeah, my mistake... i have downloaded the 32bit vesrion of it,
and i have gone to that link and thats where i got the MD5 checksum.

I shall run it again to see if there is any difference/

Thanks Jane C
