I'm getting this error arround 24-26% every time i try to install a clean
install of the 32bit english vista. 80070241 durring the copying setup files
to the local machine. I did an md5 check on the hash and it came out perfect
so i'm not sure what's happening. I've burned this copy 2ce now on 2 diffrent
dvd-r brands at 4x and still nothing.

I am getting this error as well but there is a twist. I actually had luck
installing Vista after getting this error only once on the first try. The
second try was successful. The problem was after initial install I had so
many problems with figuring out driver issues that I thought I had fouled it
up with incorrect drivers. I had several blue screens of death and other
issues I decided to re-install clean again. Now all I get is the error
80070241 at different points during the file copy. Why would it do this? It
worked once so if it was a corrupt file from the download it wouldt have
installed at all the first time. Same for the burning process. What the heck
is happening?

I have this error repeatedly (about 8 times in a row or so) HDD controller
seems right except that the partition is wiped and and I'm booting from CD.
the logs say "missing boot manager" but if I formatted that partition, it
SHOULD BE missing, along with everything else on that partition.. Trying full
clean install to a blank HDD and my backed up files in another partition, but
no XP files... winXP got formatted off the drive and format /s doesn't work
anymore... go figure.
