First of all Rick; Merry Christmas to you and yours.

A question please on Nero again if I may?

I have to transfer 26megs of data to someone by putting that data on a
CD and mailing it out. I have InCD installed and running on my system.
With Nero InCD installed like this, any CD I put in the drive has to be
formatted first in Nero before the drive will allow it to be used.
I want to copy this 26megs of data (photos and text both) to a CD for
mailing out, but I'm concerned about the recipient being able to open
and use the information on the other end if they don't have Nero
installed, which they probably don't.
Can I format a CDRW and copy the data to that disk, mail it out, and
have the recipient able to use it on the other end?
In other words, I have to know how Nero will fit in or not fit in with
what I want to do.
Thanks much
BTW, if you have an alternate suggestion considering I have Nero
installed, what would that be?

Another respondent suggested an InCD reader, but I think you're probably
better off avoiding InCD altogether. It's a utility that tries to make
optical disks do things they were not designed to do, and as such it
does a good job sometimes. I can promise you, though, that if you use
it enough and are not careful with your data you will come to grief.
It's not true that you *must* format disks before using them. I don't
know what version of Nero you're using, but you should be able to open
Nero and burn a disk without interference from InCD. Use a CD-R and
choose to finalize it. That is, do not choose multi-session burning,
which could result in your correspondent being unable to read the disk.

I agree with Ray Jay. You shouldn't use InCD when creating disks to send to
others. Use Nero or Nero Express instead.
