burning to CD-R

I'm able to burn successfully to CD-RW disks, using InCD,
but while burning data files to CD-R disks, on
reinserting the CD-R, cannot see any files at all.
Looking at the CD-R disk on the underneath side, there is
obvious burning that has been done. I'm using Windows XP
home SP1, have Nero 5.5.10.42 installed. I have an ASUS
5224A CD-RW drive. If I use Nero to try & burn data
files to a CD-R disk, the same thing happens. Is there a
simple fix? Can anyone enlighten me?

Hi Geoff,

Tried cleaning the CD lens yet? Any commercial product will do.
