Some fonts in my applications suddenly became bold and larger; for example,
in dialog boxes in Wordperfect, such as "Open C:" the text appears bold,
although text in the program itself is o.k. This is the case for most
applications, so that it seems like the problem is in Windows or somewhere
else. I checked the Appearance section of Windows Control Panel, and it's
set at "normal" for fonts. What can be causing fonts to be larger and bold
across different applications, including some web pages?

The Bold and Italic buttons are just above the Cancel button

For example, on mine, Palette Title has the Bold button pushed in.
