"Window Text" inconsistent font sizes

I had a problem where my Fonts entry in the registy was deleted. I was able to restore it and regain my fonts; however, since then, some programs display their "window text" fonts as bigger. Installers are affected, Printing Preferences dialogs, Adobe applicaitons, etc

Two thins. Normally it is not that big of a deal. This is the case where all of the pages or tabs are affected and the window itself is sizable. I just have to scroll and put up with some inconsistencies

It is a big problem in the case of programs that come up in non-scalable windows. For example, Epson Printing Preferences program has all of the fonts significantly larger and, as far as I can tell, in bold. Well, in that particular program I can't even access some of the options for printing as they are off screen and I cannot 'maximize' or scroll right. That is also the case with some of the Adobe's windows, which brings me to the second point

The second oddity is in the fact that only SOME of the window text fonts are affected and not others. Example, Nero Burning ROM "New Compilation" dialog. Six out of 7 tabs show up normal, but one, only one of 7, has increased fonts. The one with the different font is "Misc" if it matters at all. Most of the Adobe programs' dialog boxes have text disappearing off the window where the window is not scalable. In Adobe's case, only some of the window text is affected and other text is not ON THE SAME WINDOW AND TAB. I don't know what to do

I can only change the color or the window text, but Windows XP Pro does not give one the option to change the actual font. SO, I have no idea what determines those fonts and what got affected. I uninstalled one of the progams, Nero, and cleaned the whole registry off Ahead or Nero entries. Reinstalled and the Misc tab is still larger than all the others

Help me get my computer back without having to reinstall!!!

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure why so many users keep cross-posting to word.newusers, which is
entirely irrelevant for Windows questions, but in this case have you checked
the settings in Control Panel | Display | Appearance? You should be able to
change the font for various bits and pieces there.
