Hi

Suddenly some websites are hardly readable, the font seems to be changed
and I can only read it if I chose (very) lager characters or set zoom to
150%.
Before this sudden change there was no problem. I can't thinks of any
changes I made to the system in between, though there might have been a
windows crash.

The wiki site is one of the sites with this problem
(http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoofdpagina).

Using Firefox3 on the same computer shows the same site in perfect
condition.

I run winxp sp3 with ie7 (latest updates).

Thanks for reading.

Hi,
The page http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoofdpagina looks OK to me with IE7,
IE8 and Fx.

First, clear the Temporary Internet Files.

Next... Start IE7 without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)

If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.
Start IE normally (add-ons enabled) then close it.

Go to IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable all add-ons then re-enable them
one at a time until the troublesome add-on shows itself. Leave that one
disabled or uninstall it or see if there's an updated version which won't
cause problems with IE7.

Next... the troublesome program may not be a browser add-on.

If you have recently updated video drivers you might try rolling back to the
previous version - from Display Properties> Settings> Advanced> Adapter>
Properties> Driver.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your reply,

It took some time to get through the suggested solutions. I eveb sert
the video driver bacj. Indeed I upgraded it not too long ago, but that
was before the problem occurred. Nevertheless in case I was mistaken, I
set the driver back to an old version.

But: nothing succeeded I'm afraid. Since it seems to affect only one
site I really do frequent much and since I can get around it by zooming
or using FF3, I leave it for a while. Unless a fresh idea pups up.

Thanks for your thorough and elaborate suggestions though.

Gerard
