font always italic

The main font in IE6 has changed to italic and I cannot change it. I have
tried the font option in tools and changed the icon setting in display
properties, not helping.

XP SP2.

Funny thing is this happened to both IE and firefox, I am overriding it in
firefox with always use my fonts, but no such option in IE6.

I have the same issue, and am considering re-installing XP to fix it as it is
VERY annoying !!

Control Panel, Display, Appearance. Set to a default Windows theme and test.

Hi Sandi, thanks for the suggestion. The weird thing is, after 4 days of
italics, IE decided last night to fix itself. I swear I did nothing!
Someone had suggested there might be problems with the Verandi font, so I did
check out the windows\fonts folder using Windows Explorer, and I did open the
font files, but I closed them without making any changes. Think that did
anything? Anyway I am happy now :^)

Hi CDN,

No, it wouldn't have done anything. The symptoms you describe are invariably
caused by a setting changed via the path I mentioned. As to why it has
changed back, that's got me stumped.

Hello, Please help! I have Winxp SPK2
IE is always in italics and I have:
- checked for Spyware and viruses: have none
- Have all Verdana fonts and Times new roman
- Nothing is checked in Accessibility
- Display properties: Appearance -Windows XP style-effects-Clear Type
I have read ALL posts regarding this issue and tested and Nothing helps.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
