Browser changed to Italic font

I did a disk defrag on my windows 2000 as I always do
and now the font type in my browser just simply
changed on it's own and email accounts is all
ITALIC - I already know about the font and accessibilty
features in the tools options, etc... I can't get the
font to change back to normal --Please Help ??????

Control Panel, Display, Appearance. A font has been changed for one of the
drop down windows settings to italic (can't remember which, but trial/error
will find it for you).
