Fonts Displayed in Italics

I am running Windows XP, have downloaded all current updates. Today when I
turned on my computer I noticed that all my usual web pages that I accessed
displayed fonts in italics -- even using this window to enter my question --
what I'm typing is in normal font, but all the other information on this page
is in italics - what's happened and how can I restore this back to normal?

Thank you.

Hi,

Have you tried scanning for viruses/ trojans/worms/etc? It's possible that
something got in and changed settings on you.

Maybe someone else here has a better idea or knows what the problem is, so
hang out or check back.

Good luck

Check your Verdana fonts. There are four Verdana in Windows\Fonts folder
(Verdana Bold, Verdana Bold Italic, Verdana and Verdana Italic).
If you don't, try copying the four Verdana fonts from another computer with
XP and installing them on your pc.
Then start IE.
HTH ;-)

Thank you Vincenzo for responding and pointing me in the right direction. I
deleted all Verdana fonts and then reinstalled them after I copied them from
another computer. Working fine now. Thanks again.
