I have 150GB of folders on a second hard drive that are not visible in
windows explorer. I can see them in Adobe Photoshop CS File Browser on
a different computer on my network.
I had tried to install PS CS2 and it's update and that is when the
trouble started. I have unistalled PS CS2 buth problem remains.

I have now spent 3 hours on the phone with Microsoft (They kept wanting
to help me reformat my drive, language barrier) and 1 hour on the phone
with Adobe (It's an OS problem) and had a Geek Squad member at my
keyboard for 2 hours.

When I run Norton AV I can watch it scan all of the "missing" folders.

Have you checked the Folder/File permissions ? Specifically the
Ownership rights for the Folder ? If using XP Home edition you'll
need to boot to Safe Mode to be able to access the "Security"
(TAB) on the Properties of the Drive/Folder.

Geek Squad is worthless - More effort put into little uniforms &
spiffy VW Beetles than actually getting PC Issues resolved.

I am using XP Pro... same process?

XP Pro should have the Security (TAB) available unless you've
left "Use Simple File Sharing" enabled in the View category of
Folder Options.

Once Security is displayed, you'll have to use the Advanced
button to view the Ownership and inheritable properties of the
Drive or Folder.

On the "Phantom" Folder, check the window entitled "Groups
or User Names" - Who is listed there and more importantly single
Left Click each one in sequence and see what Permissions are set in
the Window below.

Once you checked the privileges, then click the "Advanced"
button. From the Advanced Window, Click Owner (TAB) and
note who is the owner of the folder.

Admin Full Control
Creator nothing checked
Everyone All but Full Control
System Full Control
Users Read & Execute, List Folder Contents, Read, Special
Permissions(grayed)

The above are all checked "Allow" nothing is checked "Deny"

Once you checked the privileges, then click the "Advanced"
button. From the Advanced Window, Click Owner (TAB) and
note who is the owner of the folder.
Administator is listed as the owner
There is the option to change this to my name.
I am the only user of this machine and network, well sometimes the wife
gets on too.

In your listing is that "Administrator" or "Administrators" (Plural for
Group designation ) ? Regardless, I'd just add your Day-to-Day
username in the ACL table and grant yourself "Full" rights. Then see
if the Phantom folder displays properly.
