Folder View

I have a folder that holds some picture files:
..bmp and .jpg
I have the folder set to view as'Thumbnails'.
They used to display correctly but now only the .bmp files
in this folder are showing a thumbnail image and the .jpg
files are showing an icon. If I create a new folder and
set the view to thumbnails, the same thing happens. Only
the .bmp files are showing the thumbnail preview image.
Can anyone tell me why the .jpg files are not displaying
the thumbnail image as they should???
Thanks in advance.

I've had this problem. It's because the .jpg file
extension has been tagged to open with another program,
such as Photoshop, and has broken the link to the internal
Windows previewer. To fix this, you need to edit the
registry. I found the fix online while searching under
knowledge base article Q192573.
