folder view settings

Hi all,

Something strange is going on here...

I've reset my folders to the default view, and all looks
great. Then, I double-click My Computer, and change it's
view to "Arrange Icons" to "Show in groups". Now, My
Computer shows the way I want. However, a folder down at
C:\here\there\and\somewhere changes it's view to "Show in
groups" as well!! Sibling folders have not been affected.
If I change that folder back, I also affect the My
Computer folder. I even deleted the entire C:\here\...
tree, and then rebuilt it from our source control, and
the problem still persists, so some setting has been
stepped on :-(

I have 'almost' the same problem ... for me it's ... I
change the view to what I want & it should stay, right???
But, it doesn't. The next time I go in, I have to make
the view change again, & again, & again ... tired of it.
Why does it not keep my changes?

Hopefully !! someone can help us, both.
