Folder opens on startup

When I start up Windows 2000, the WINNT\System 32 folders opens
automatically and stays open until I close it. I've checked the startup
options, and this folder is not listed. Is Windows telling me something? If
so, what? And, if not, how can I keep the folder from opening?

Check with the regedit, local machine-->software--

microsost-->windows-->concurrent-->run to see any entry

there to cause it.

Try running MSCONFIG

(download it from :

http://www.gwynfryn.co.uk/downloads/msconfig.zip

Unzip the files and place them in your system path

and check if the folder is listed in any of the startup items
