Floppy not recognised

Hi Bob 1
I don't know if you remember sending me some advice for th
following:-

"When i insert a floppy drive in the "A" drive and click on Start
Run,
the drive doesn't seem to be recognised. But if i go to My Computer i
can open it from there, Please can any one help"
And you sent the following:

"Try Start, Run, CMD".

Well i have tried this and all's that i get is:-

c:\Documents and Settings\owner.sweeneytodd_ ( _ = flashing cursor)
then nothing
should i have typed something after the flashing cursor or what...sorr
to bother you again with this but it is becoming a headach

If you type in DIR A: at the flashing cursor you will get a listing of
what is on A:
