Hard drive size not recognised and floppy drive not recognising disks

John

My hard disk is 200gb but this is only showing as 130gb.
How can I get the other 70. I have partitioned into 30
gbs which I have been filling up, the other 100gb
partition is empty. The hard drive is a western digital
sata.

My second problem is my floppy drive is not recognising
disks. When i click on the floppy disk icon, a message is
displayed saying please insert floppy disk. I have
replaced the floppy disk drive and tried numerous floppy
disks but they dont work. Do I need to format or
configure the floppy drive?

John, you may need a Bios upgrade in order to recognize the additional
70G. Also, do you have XP
Update SP1 installed? Not to sure about the Floppy drive except make
sure that the ribbon cable is
connected properly. The red stripe facing the power connector.
