Flash Drive

I purchased a USB2 plug and play flash drive and inserted it in an available
port on my Vista operated machine. The first time I used it Vista assigned
it as drive J and I was able to copy and paste data to it. The next time I
tried to use it, Vista put up a message "please insert disk in drive J". I
tried opening it as a removable storage device and I still get the message.
Anyone have any suggestions on how access the drive? Thanks.

Sounds like it is faulty. Try reformatting it.

I would second that but it should be added that with the situation line this
he may not be able to do it on this machine. Perhaps the OP should consider
reformatting it on a different computer. Plus he should make sure that it is
NTFS with default (4096) block size.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did try to format it but got the same message.
Unfortunately, I don't have another machine immediately available. When I
can get access to one, I'll give it try.
