ABOUT THE SLOW BROWSER
For about the past week, I have been trying to troubleshoot the IE6 slow browser phenomenon--ya know...when you type in the address bar it creeps, loads Web pages very slowly. The same thing occurs when you click on a hyper-text link.

THE FIX
Assuming you've scanned for viruses, and spyware, this could very well fix the slow browser blues. Tonight, I changed the AutoComplete settings in Internet Explorer. My settings were enabled by default; however, I clicked the to disable all the options and cleared any existing entries, both forms and passwords. Afterwards, I got my super-fast browser back--serious throughput at CNET's bandwidth meter test.

HOW TO FIX
Tools>Internet Options>Content Tab>AutoComplete Button>....

Disable all options and clear both the forms and passwords. Click apply and okay--give it a try. Let me know if this helps too--visit CNETs bandwidth test afterwards:

Best regards,

Todd

Just before changing my AutoComplete options, I changed the following option under the Advance tab:

HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections -- I enabled this option.

Best regards,

Todd
