Firewall will not start

Went to service and tried to start my PC's XP Firewall. But rcvd Error msg
stating "could not start Windows Firewall/ICS service on Local Computer.
Error 10047: Am address incompatible with the requsted protocal was used."

Can anyone tell me what is wrong?
