Firewall message

I am using Sygate Personal Firewall and I keep gettng a message whenever I
restart my computer. It keeps telling me that
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskernel.exe" has changed and is trying to access the
internet. I deny the connection, but I am trying to find out what this
command does. I have done online searches and I keep coming up with it is
either a virus or it is for changing screen savers. What is the command and
how do I tell if it has been changed?

That's normal. Allow it to access the net. The reason it changed is
probably because of a recent update from Windows Update.

Do you mean ntoskrnl.exe?
