Firefox Password feature trumps IE6 Autocomplete

My bank has modified their log-on web page so that the autocomplete
feature of IE 6.0 no longer works. They say they are doing it for my
safety and theirs. What's interesting is that they recommend or suggest
using Firefox saying that the Password feature is much safer. I
downloaded Firefox 2.0 beta and was impressed with what they've done
with the Password feature.

Is Microsoft working on an upgrade to IE 6.0 that will address this
issue or is there an add-in I can install to get back to using IE 6.0
and Autocomplete instead of Firefox?

I don't suggest you to wait for IE upgrade, because with the time being
it will become unsafe again. I'm using Sticky Password as external
password management solution and its much safer on my mind: passwords
available after entering master password, passwords database becomes
inaccessible after some time of computer inactivity. Also it works both
with Firefox and IE which is great, because my bank account works only
with IE, but in everyday browsing I prefer Firefox. And additionally I
can share passwords between my desktop and laptop computer which is
also very useful.

I checked out Sticky Password and it's pretty nice, but the $24
registration seemed too much considering the Password features of
Firefox ver 2 beta are nearly the same. I do like the advantage of
sharing passwords between IE6 and Foxfire - I'm just too cheap to buy
something when I can find a substitute for free.
