In Outlook 2007, when using the option to 'Search Contacts in All Folders',
how do we know which folder that contact is affiliated with? In other
words, we can search for a lost contact, actually find the contact listed in
the results window, but still not know in which folder that contact is
stored! How do we know, even after finding the contact, where there record
is stored?

View-> Sort By Folder

or simply move it to the place where you expected it to be there but wasn't
so you had to do a search instead ;-)

Thank you for the reply, Roady. However, in Outlook 2007, I assume you
meant the "VIEW>ARRANGE BY>FOLDER" option on the view menu, correct?
Initially, I couldn't even find this option because my contacts were in
'Business Card' mode and it appears that all of the so-called 'Card' forms
suppress the 'VIEW\ARRANGE' menu when they are active. Nevertheless, the
phone list does include a field that identifies the folder for each message,
both when sorted and when not sorted by folder. Thanks for the hint!

I have also made another observation and am interested in knowing if you can
duplicate the issue. After performing a contact search in Outlook 2007, all
of the search results disappear if I choose another 'Current View' mode from
the left-hand navigation pane. Reverting back to the original view does not
restore the search results. Furthermore, we cannot simply re-execute the
search, but must clear the search field and retype the search phrase in
order to recover the search results. Do you have the same problem?

Thanks
