Files disappearing

Under W2K, if I try to expand a system file like: lsass.ex_ to the
c:\ ... the file never appears. Also, I can see files in directories
that do NOT appear using explorer. Idea's

Use the Tools/ Folder Options/View menu to
check "Show Hidden files and folders" and to uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"
