Files And Settings Transfer Wizard Limited to Only One User?

T

The Computer LaB

Several times I have run the F&STW and with multiple users, I'll only
get the contents of the My Documents from only one user's account. This
happen with a husband and wife PC and only the wife's Documents showed
up after all was done.

Worse, I have not see any write-ups on this and what I am supposed to do
on say, family PC's where there are 2-4 users, each with their own
Favs and Docs. Anyone know just how the Files And Settings Transfer
Wizard works?

TIA

If you're transferring users from one XP computer to another, you'd be
better to copy the entire profile-folder over from Documents and Settings.
To do this you need to be logged-on as another administrative user, not the
user or users being copied. You also need to create the acccount on the new
computer, and log-on to it once then off again, before doing the transfer.
