File view in My Pictures

I want to be able to view the files in 'My Pictures' in LIST view. No
matter how I set the list view (right click, or by the tools, options
method) when I go to save a picture to that folder it defaults back to
Thumbnails view. When I view it normally (I.e. through opening the
folder from the start menu or via My Documents it's OK.

Ideas or solutions?

Hi Mark,

WindowsXP will remember the settings of up to 400 folders, after that it
starts forgetting some. See this from MVP Kelly for a way to increase this
number:

Line 2, increase the folder view size limit to 8000
