file synchronization

When I use file synchronization with synchronize all folders checked, the
process does not capture any new sub-folders created. Is there any way to
make synchronization pick up new folders as well as new files? At present,
I get round this by deselecting then reselecting the synchronize option for
the root folder, but it seems to me there should be a better way!

Any help gratefully received
 
I assume you have checked 'include sub-folders'
