Win XP Offline File Synchronization

We have three new systems which are having major troubles with File
Synchronization. When offline files are built it goes well without errors.
Then when a file is changed offline the system tries to synchronize but we
get the error message that the offline file is not able to synchronize with
the online server files. I am given an option of deleting the offline copy
and if that happens then I lose both the online and offline copy of the file
and have to restore the file from backup.

Any ideas or where I can find more info on file synchronization
troubleshooting?

How about some details :
Are you doing this via -
My Documents as an offline folder ?
Server ? - 2000 , 2003, workgroup ?
Issues both ways ? Or just if pc has new file ? Server ?
These new 3 with issues - all run XP SP2 ? SP3 ?
You have others ( OLD?) that run XP offline folders OK ? Are they SP2 ?
SP3?
( Asking since you mention three NEW pc's )
