File sharing over a wireless network.

I have two WinXP computers linked via a Linksys wireless router and
wireless access point. They share an Internet connection through a
Road Runner cable modem. The wireless computer can access the Internet
just fine and the wired computer can see and access all files &
folders (except program files of course) on the wireless computer. But
for some reason I am no londer able to access files on the wired
computer from the wireless machine. All was working fine the last time
the wireless machine was used a couple weeks ago and the files and
folders show up on the wireless machine. But when I try to acces them,
I get the old "You may not have access etc, etc." B.S. I have checked
to make sure that "Share this folder on the network" and "Allow
network users to change files" are both checked for the folders I'm
trying to access. The only thing I can see that might be causing this
problem is the folders are all checked "Read Only" and will not allow
me to uncheck them. I have disabled the XP firewall and tried shutting
down Webroot SpySweeper to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?

Sorry this is so long but "Practically Networked" will not allow me to
start a thread there.
You're not supposed to have to do this, but I find that sometimes sharing
doesn't work until I add the IPX/SPX protocols to the adapters.

The folders being set to read only won't have any effect. You may find
that you need to create matching accounts on each system you want to share
(account name and passwords match).

In all my verbage above you may have missed that I was able to share
files & printer just fine without having IPX/SPX protocols. Can you
think of any reason(s) why this would suddenly change?
Firewall blocking access???

User accounts do not match on each????

If you have XP Pro and you removed/disabled Guest user account, Simple
file/printer sharing may not work anymore.

Yves,

Thanks. I'll check those areas to see if anything got changed
without my knowledge.

After hours of talking with experts, the tech from XI Computers
finally found the problem. Actually, he found one problem and I found
another that may have been contributing.

The problem he found is a known problem caused by Norton Anti-Virus.
It can alter a registry setting that lowers the ipStackSize.
See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/177078/en-us if you are
interested. The problem I found was a nasty little surprise from Apple
called "Bonjour Services" that must have been installed when I used
Quicktime for something. See:
http://www.voipuser.org/forum_topic_2567.html for more info on this or
just Google "Bonjour Service" (no quotes).

File sharing is ok know with ipStackSize of 20.
