Hi all,
For some time I have been asking/looking for a simply program that could
renamer a group of images/photos according the lines of a text file, that
is... the first line of the text file is the new name of the first image...
the second line of the text file is the new name of the second image... and
so on... I didn't really find/work out a program that could do this, so I
asked by brother who was finishing his final year in computer science. With
some time on his hands he compiled a little java renmaing program we called
"Text2JPG".
It was exactly what I needed, that is it did the above task. It is not
completely finished in regard to user friendlyness etc, but wiht a bit of
fiddling around wiht the installation works great.
I have uploaded a the program http://www.perthmetro.net/text2JPG.exe
and a webpage showing how to install and operate the program at
http://www.perthmetro.net/renamer
My brother does want the source code revealed yet (nothing special anyway
he claims) but I'm keen to ask anyone who would like to help out make it
more user friendly and maybe add a few more bells and whistles.
Regards,
Peter
