File permission and ownerhsip

Help.

I tried to lock down a bunch of files yesterday. It worked great but now
some of them say access denied, complaining about the ownership. There is
no way I can manually change each one individually. There are hundreds.

There is a command line utility subinacl.exe that can do what you want. You
may be able to do it directly from a cmd prompt or you may need to write a
script if the files are spread over several folders.

If you are using something like OE or Thunderbird highlight the message
and press delete.

You can remove your own posts.

I don't know how it works with web-based browsers though... (the delete
option I mean)

Yes, it is so

respectable and responsible NGs know we all make mistakes and allow the
option to remove/delete a post

I am sure we all wish a post was/is removed from time-to-time
